This role requires expertise in managing complex medical cases. The nurse will provide care for patients experiencing respiratory failure, ARDS, and acute chest pain. The position involves managing patients with cardiac issues, strokes, and multi-organ failures. Candidates should assist in pre and post-operative care, including cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries. The role entails caring for patients pre and post-transplant and managing end-of-life situations. Special equipment utilized includes IV pumps, CRRT, dialysis, ventilators, and invasive monitoring devices. The facility operates as a short-term acute care center and is a teaching hospital. Applicants should expect to float within the service line as needed. Every other weekend shift is required for this position. This position does not require on-call duties.
