Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU RN with at least one year of experience and a NY RN license for a night shift position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • 16-bed unit caring for patients with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, overdose, multi-organ failure, pre-VAD workups, post-cardiac arrest, targeted temperature management, respiratory failure, shock, alcohol withdrawal, and more
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1 : 2, may be 1 : 1 based on acuity
  • Specialized procedures and equipment include CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
  • 4x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Must be available for holiday coverage
  • Floating required as needed
  • EPIC EMR experience is required
  • Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team
  • Pre-assignment modules must be completed before start
  • Return staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible
  • Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the last two years
  • All scheduling requests, including time off, must be declared in advance
  • Holiday and weekend coverage is mandatory for this role

  • Active NY RN license in hand required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular ICU experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility
  • First time travelers will be considered
