Welding & Pipe Fabrication Production Lead

Core responsibilities
Supervise and schedule pipe fabrication and welding activities to meet delivery commitments.Implement process improvements to elevate efficiency and first-pass yield.Own shop safety : enforce procedures, conduct audits, and maintain a tidy, compliant workspace.Mentor the team on fabrication and welding methods, inspection criteria, and best practices.Work closely with engineering and project management to confirm specifications and work sequences.Assist with pipe design documentation : layout coordination, drafting, and updates driven by engineering and project changes.Perform regular equipment / tool inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance.Record production KPIs and provide clear performance reporting with actions to address gaps.Resolve shop-floor issues promptly to keep production on track.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; welding / fabrication trade school or certifications preferred.Demonstrated expertise in piping fabrication and pipe welding, plus 3+ years leading crews.Thorough knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, and safety practices.Ability to read / interpret blueprints, isometrics, and technical drawings.Strong communicator with proven leadership and team-building skills.Detail-focused, analytical problem solver.Proficiency with fabrication and drafting software (e.g., CAD) and standard shop tools.
