About The Position

License : Active Nursing License required

Certifications : BCLS Required

Must-Have :

Traveler Experience : Unit will not accept first-time travelers.

Skills : IV Start and Telemetry required.

Preferred Skills : ACLS, NIH Certifications preferred.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and will not be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation.

Patients are medical-surgical.

The unit no longer accepts cardiac telemetry patients.

Target nurse-patient ratios are 1 : 6 / 7 during normal staffing.

Maximum ratio of 1 : 7 may occur when census is elevated.

The nurse will work with a centralized resource nursing pool and float to all medical-surgical floors.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend at managerial discretion.

Nurses may be assigned to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.

There will be a requirement to float between various units as needed.

A teamwork approach must be maintained in all interactions with patients and staff.

Candidates must adhere to the call-off policy, which is strongly enforced.

Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the position.

Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests.

References from recent positions are highly preferred at the time of submission.

Candidates will not work more than five consecutive days or over 60 hours in a week.
