ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott, Arizona.

Opportunity :

RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Float pool position covering multiple units : MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses and inpatients holding in ED
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation
  • No call or standby requirements
  • Unit assignments provided 2 hours prior to shift start via text message from staffing office
  • Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time - flexibility required
  • Night shift may accommodate block scheduling preferences
  • Nurse to patient ratios : PCU 1 : 4, MedSurg Tele 1 : 5-6
  • Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
  • Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
  • Minimum 1 year PCU setting experience required
  • Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
  • Must be able to interpret cardiac strips and telemetry monitoring
  • Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op patients
  • Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
  • Solid color professional scrubs required (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October)
  • Use Cerner charting system
  • 32-hour orientation : 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU
