FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Customer Service Specialist (2 Vacancies).

JOB SUMMARY :

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for answering inbound calls, providing accurate information, and transferring calls to the appropriate offices and university stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide FVSU stakeholders with clear and specific information related to the area of service (e.g., Financial Aid, Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, or Housing).
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support overall office goals and operations.
• Accurately document all concerns or inquiries received during phone calls.
• Maintain a professional and courteous tone in every telephone interaction.
• Stay informed and knowledgeable about the University's mission, goals, academic programs, student services, and campus life.
• Share up-to-date information about campus events in a clear, friendly, and informed manner.
• Consistently communicate positively about Fort Valley State University.
