How You''ll Contribute A Media Sr Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its lifecycle, from Initiation through Closing. The PM depends on others to perform most activities and focuses on written and verbal communication to project stakeholders. The SPM is responsible for overseeing and performing project management functions on all Broadcast projects, budgets, and scopes. The SPM acts as the primary owner of assigned projects with direct control over project activities. Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for team participants, managing deliverables from the consulting team, and overseeing project completion. The PM is responsible for completing consulting projects on time, on budget and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Most of this time will be spent managing projects and communicating with stakeholders. The role includes improving Diversified processes and developing a strong long-term client relationship, managing client expectations, communications, and satisfaction.

What You''ll Do :

Provide clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, including accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow up.

Coordinate activities for timely, accurate, and on-budget completion of the project, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities clearly, and running client and internal project meetings.

Provide support to team members to help them be successful.

Ensure appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders.

Resolve destructive conflict.

Design, plan, and coordinate work teams regarding Media and Entertainment consulting projects.

Assume ownership of individual projects and assignments.

Establish and maintain communication with Account Executives, Directors, internal and external consultants and subject matter experts, clients, etc.

Develop and communicate project updates as required.

Provide constant monitoring of labor budgets.

Provide and / or direct technical and administrative support to project team members. Develop and maintain all related project schedules.

Coordinate all deliverable documentation between internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate and direct document reviews to ensure proper documentation is delivered to the client. Provide a punch-list of remaining tasks after substantial completion.

Contract with contractors when necessary.

Monitor status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Ensure quality and continuous improvement.

Coordinate transition of projects to later-phase project teams.

Complexity & Decision Making Complexity : Every project is different, with varying stakeholders. The SPM negotiates a complex set of variables across discovery, analysis, conceptual design, and differing stakeholder expectations. Strong written and verbal communication, emotional intelligence, and people management are essential to manage change, schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and client satisfaction.

Decision Making Authority :

Takes full ownership of the project as the single point of responsibility and accountability.

Manages and reports on project financials, ensuring budget performance and profitability; ensure timely and correct billings to client.

Demonstrates proactivity, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Communicates decision options to stakeholders and manages those decisions.

Manages a complex array of decisions at every point, but is rarely the sole decision maker.

Physical Demands & Travel Physical Demands : The physical demands described are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee will experience normal office conditions and use standard office equipment.

Travel : Some travel by car and occasional airplane trips should be expected; much consulting is remote with occasional in-person meetings. A valid driver''s license is required. Use of personal vehicle may be required with mileage reimbursed. Remote travel ~10% is not unusual.

Safety During client visits, PMs must ensure the team adheres to safety requirements, including :

Maintain and wear appropriate PPE as required.

Address hazards promptly.

Participate in incident investigations and reporting.

Conduct safety walk-throughs on project sites.

Prepare safety paperwork (e.g., JSA, Site Safety Plans).

What We Require Education / Certifications :

A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired.

Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on technology focus (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile / project management, program management, organizational change, cloud technologies).

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills :

5+ years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, especially in consulting.

Knowledgeable of broadcast operations and technologies.

Comfortable with hardware and software-based solutions.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Supervisory and people skills.

Ability to manage design / build projects for the Media business unit when not managing consulting projects.

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems.
