Logistics Management Specialist

The purpose of this position is to function as a logistics management specialist responsible for accomplishment and oversight of logistics plans, activities, and actions. (1) Develops, implements and evaluates the logistic policies for the organization. (2) Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other-directed command inspection programs. Assists in the preparation for and executes additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance. (3) Provides guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. (4) May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. (5) Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. Key requirements : Open to all United States military branches. Military members : Submit STP, vMPF rip, DVR, ERS, MBS, PDR or equivalent with resume. Refer to required documents below for acronym titles. Prior service members : Submit a DD Form 214, Member 4 Copy. WY ARNG Recruiting Website : Must be assessed into WY ARNG before appointment. May take up to 120 days. Must possess or be able to obtain / maintain a T3 / SECRET security clearance. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense. An indefinite position may be converted to Perm if funding / position is available.

Employment conditions : Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit / Electronic Funds Transfer (DD / EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a technician. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). Indefinite employees may be terminated or displaced at management's discretion with a 30-day written notice.

Conditions of employment : 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Irregular and / or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 4. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.

Areas of consideration : Referrals of qualified applicants will be issued in the following order : Area 1 : All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Training Center Command. Area 2 : All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4 : All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. Area 6 : Current military members of the United States military branches or prior service members of one of those military branches. Must be willing / eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.
