divh2Leading The Vendor Management Transformation/h2pThis Director role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead the Low-Voltage Vendor Management function, driving operational excellence and vendor partnership within Oracles Data Center Infrastructure Delivery team. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on the efficiency, quality, and success of low-voltage installations across global data center projects. With a focus on strategic leadership, people development, and vendor relationship management, the Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Oracles data centers are built to the highest standards, on time, and within budget./ph3Responsibilities/h3pStrategic Vendor Management Leadership:/pulliSet the vision and strategy for Low-Voltage Vendor Management, aligning it with Oracles overall data center objectives./liliDevelop and implement best-in-class vendor management practices, processes, and performance metrics./liliFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and vendor partnership./li/ulpPeople and Team Development:/pulliLead and inspire a talented team of vendor management professionals, providing mentorship and growth opportunities./liliRecruit, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce./liliConduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development./li/ulpExecutive Stakeholder Engagement:/pulliCommunicate and collaborate effectively with executive leadership, providing updates on vendor-related initiatives./liliPresent vendor performance insights, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management./li/ulpVendor Relationship and Performance Management:/pulliEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key low-voltage vendors, ensuring long-term partnerships./liliNegotiate and manage vendor contracts, defining service-level agreements and performance expectations./liliRegularly assess vendor performance, conduct business reviews, and drive continuous improvement./li/ulpOperational Excellence and Process Optimization:/pulliImplement robust processes for vendor qualification, selection, and onboarding, ensuring a streamlined approach./liliOptimize material management and logistics processes related to low-voltage installations./liliIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness./li/ulpRisk Mitigation and Change Leadership:/pulliLead risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to low-voltage vendors, ensuring project continuity./liliManage and approve change orders, considering their impact on cost, schedule, and performance./li/ulpGlobal Collaboration and Coordination:/pulliCollaborate with global data center teams to align vendor management practices and standards./liliCoordinate vendor activities across multiple data center sites, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing./li/ulpIndustry Insights and Innovation:/pulliStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage systems and vendor engagement./liliIdentify and implement innovative solutions to enhance vendor performance and overall data center efficiency./li/ulpContract and Compliance Management:/pulliReview and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements./liliManage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and vendor performance evaluations./li/ulh3Requirements/h3p15+ years of progressive experience in vendor management, program/project management, or a related field, with a strong focus on people leadership. Proven track record in managing and leading vendor relationships, preferably in the data center, construction, or infrastructure industry. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, translating strategies into actionable plans. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, effectively engaging with C-level executives and vendors. Proficiency in performance management, including KPI development and vendor evaluation. Knowledge of low-voltage systems, data center operations, and construction processes is highly desirable. Experience in process improvement, change management, and operational excellence initiatives. A Bachelors degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.
