What is great about working on this unit? This unit is fast-paced cardiac unit with team members who pride themselves with ownership of their team and patient experience. The team works very well together to advocate for their patients and to provide safe and efficient care. The Cardiac Medical Unit staff is a well-balanced blend of seasoned and newer nurses, nursing assistants and secretaries who collaborate and support each other in their daily work. They are led by a Nurse Leader who is experienced as a cardiac nurse and nursing supervisor. She engages the team by having fun competitions around their quality metrics. Reward and recognition is also what makes the competitions fun! She and the team are supported by a Nursing Director who has 39 years in healthcare and 18 years in Nursing Leadership. There are also 4 Charge RNs on day shift and 3 Charge RNs on night shift to support the team in their daily work and provide leadership at the point of care. Under the direction of the director, utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care. This is a Full Time, Night Shift position eligible for a sign-on bonus. Qualifications Education : - Diploma / Associates Degree Licensure / Certification / Registration : - Florida Registered Nurse License - BLS - ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale Special Skills / Qualifications / Additional Training / Experience Required : - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
