Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension up to 24 months based on performance; opportunity for conversion
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Capital Markets expertise to lead complex regulatory and strategic initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role requires a proven leader who can manage end-to-end project delivery, partner effectively with front-office stakeholders, and drive execution across cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience delivering enterprise-scale projects in trading, banking, or capital markets organizations, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with both business and technology leaders.
What You'll Do
- Lead projects through the complete lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closure.
- Manage dependencies across multiple programs and ensure alignment with enterprise change management initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across Capital Markets Trading, Analytics, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, and enterprise support teams.
- Drive project governance, status reporting, financial tracking, and executive communications.
- Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution while maintaining project timelines and objectives.
- Support regulatory and compliance-driven initiatives to ensure successful delivery and adherence to required standards.
- Create and maintain project documentation, executive presentations, status reports, risk logs, and governance materials.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and operational impacts while developing mitigation strategies.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting using Microsoft collaboration and productivity tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of Project Management experience, preferably within Financial Services or Banking.
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets products and business processes.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception through implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within matrixed organizations and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Strong project governance, planning, risk management, and execution capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Experience supporting business and technology teams across enterprise-scale initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading regulatory or compliance-related programs.
- Background supporting Capital Markets trading organizations.
- Experience with Market Risk and/or Model Development initiatives.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proven success delivering projects in investment banking, trading, risk management, or related financial services environments.
