We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager in Albany, NY who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running not just on time but within budget. You'll be responsible for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives. You'll manage and provide construction oversight and resolve complex construction project related challenges.
You'll be responsible for analyzing and developing reports, meeting minutes, correspondences, project awards, invoices, and assist with development and management of project budgets, schedules, and project controls. You'll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the client by applying proven project management techniques. Your ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is a must to be successful at this role.

Responsibilities
- Assigned and report to Assistant Director, OGS Utilities
- Includes Empire State Plaza, Sheridan Avenue Steam Plant, River Front Pump Station and Harriman State Office Building Campus
- Apply a wide range of specialized knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to direct and coordinate human and material resources within the Utilities PMR&I plan
- Develop or use pre-existing project management plans and documents to coordinate and support the activities of the Utilities PMR&I plan
- Direct and coordinate the daily activities of staff from various skilled trades to accomplish work
- Assist with administrative and technical supervision of lower-level per diem skilled trades staff
- Record and report schedules, progress and project expenditures
- Independently oversee multiple projects of small to medium scope or assist higher level staff in managing all areas of a larger project
- Balance competing demands and mitigate risks to ensure the delivery of an acceptable product to OGS that is within budget, scope, time and quality standards
- Oversee and coordinate requests for quotes supporting Utilities PMR&I projects
- Expected to be organized and adaptable to changing priorities
Here's What You'll Need
Bachelor degree in Architecture, and Engineering discipline, or Construction ManagementShall possess, at a minimum, 8 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building / rehabilitation projectsA minimum of 4 years' experience shall be in the role of Assistant Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documentsExperience must include a minimum of 3 projects with PLA in medium to large urban areaMust be able to manage the various projects using established controls and procedures and provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers, and any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client / facilityThe Project Manager shall have a full working knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review / approval of contractor's payment applicationPossess an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationValid drivers license and the ability to travel to project sites#EastPMCM #NorthPMCM #LI-SD2
