Position Title : Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist

Location : New York, NY

Clearance Requirements : None

Position Status : Contract (12+ months)

Position Description :

We're seeking an experienced Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist to strengthen enterprise-wide identity security and access management programs. The specialist will play a key role in onboarding business applications, improving access controls, and advancing passwordless authentication initiatives aligned with Zero Trust security principles .

This role requires a hands-on professional who understands IGA, PAM, and MFA technologies , and who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance governance, compliance, and authentication standards across both corporate and operational environments.

This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY , with the first 30 days onsite for onboarding and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Onboard and integrate applications into the enterprise IGA platform (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle IDCS ).
  • Define and manage access models, entitlements, and approval workflows for new and existing systems.
  • Implement least-privilege access and segregation of duties (SoD) controls to enhance identity security posture.
  • Identify and remediate identity risks such as orphaned accounts, excessive permissions, and privileged access sprawl.
  • Support Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID cleanup and modernization efforts.
  • Drive the adoption of phishing-resistant authentication methods such as FIDO2 security keys and passwordless sign-ins .
  • Collaborate with MFA and SSO teams to modernize authentication flows using SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2 .
  • Configure and manage federated SSO integrations and conditional access policies.
  • Partner with IAM engineering, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to align with Zero Trust and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide operational support for IGA platform maintenance, enhancements, and reporting.

Required Skills & Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) .
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory , Entra ID (Azure AD) , and federated authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2).
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms :
  • IGA : SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle IDCS

  • PAM : CyberArk, BeyondTrust, ManageEngine PAM360
  • MFA / SSO : Microsoft Entra ID, Duo, Okta, Ping Identity
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust , FIDO2 , and passwordless authentication concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience managing identity lifecycle processes for corporate, frontline, or operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards related to identity security and access control.
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise identity modernization or authentication transformation initiatives.
