Job Overview :
A well-established and growing immigration law firm in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area is seeking a qualified Immigration Attorney with experience in asylum and removal defense. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a caseload, supervise staff, and advocate for clients before DHS, DOS, and EOIR. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, legally astute, and committed to client service within immigration law.
Location : Columbus, Ohio
Duties :
- Manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters with a focus on asylum and removal defense
- Supervise and train legal support staff and paralegals
- Prepare and submit filings to DHS, DOS, and EOIR
- Draft and revise legal documents, including court pleadings and memoranda
- Conduct legal research and write motions and briefs
- Appear at interviews, court hearings, and trials
- Stay informed on changes in immigration law, policy, and judicial rulings
- Support firm outreach efforts and help promote legal services
Requirements :
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Active admission to the Ohio State Bar
