What you'll do :

The position of Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the accounting and financial reporting of the Company. This position reports to a Senior Financial Reporting Manager as well as collaborating with other members of the accounting staff on a range of matters, such as monthly GL close including preparation of schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, or other assigned projects. This position also ensures compliance with SOX, all policies, procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

In addition to the above, the individual selected for this Sr. Accountant role will play a role in

supporting the company's reconciliations within Oracle ARCS, which is used to monitor the completeness and accuracy of all GL reconciliations performed throughout the company. Duties may include administrative tasks, project management tasks, coordination with and training for users, and / or updating status of enhancement efforts.

• Work closely with the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and Director to complete the month-end, quarter-end and annual close process.
• Provide support to all assigned areas in the Accounting Department where service orassistance is needed.
• Be involved in the reconciliation process of GL accounts.
• Assist with preparation of financial schedules and analysis that comprise regulatory, SEC, andinternal reporting.
• Monitor, maintain, and implement procedures.
• Assist in accounting for complex transactions such as loan sales, acquisitions, and disposals,and other transactions that require research and analysis.
• Guide and train junior staff as required or assigned.
• Contribute to interpretation and implementation of accounting pronouncement changes.
• Interface with management, external auditors and regulatory agencies concerning accountingand SOX requirements.
