Job Description
  • Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' unique circumstances and devise individualized therapy strategies to help them achieve their recovery objectives
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply proven therapeutic methods to boost patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and activities of daily living
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work hand in hand with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver well-rounded patient care
  • Educate Patients and Families: Empower patients and their loved ones by teaching effective therapy techniques for continued progress outside of the clinical setting
  • Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor patient development closely and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
Education
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program
  • Encouragement and support for continuing education or additional certifications
Certifications
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is essential
Skills

Your Role in Rehabilitation

In this fulfilling position, you'll go beyond treating symptoms-you'll help patients re-establish their routines, rebuild self-worth, and reclaim joy in their everyday lives. Guiding stroke survivors through motor recovery or aiding individuals in regaining mobility following surgery, you'll use your expertise to deliver personalized care that fosters confidence and independence.
