• No patient contact : IME exams involve observation and evaluation only - no touching or treatment of the patient.
• Case review : Providers must review case logs prior to insurance claims.
• Coverage : Need multiple providers to ensure adequate coverage across NYS, focusing on the five boroughs and Long Island.
• Certification : Workers' Compensation certification is required.
• Credentialing : Providers must complete the COI credentialing process. ( Takes a few days)
• Malpractice : Coverage for malpractice is provided.
