Operations Manager – Juvenile Crisis & Assessment Center (Asheville, NC)

Salary : $55,000+ (commensurate with education and experience)

About Us :

At Methodist Home for Children , we believe every child deserves a safe, stable home and a path to a better future. In partnership with the NC Department of Public Safety , our Western Area Juvenile Crisis & Assessment Center in Asheville provides short-term residential care and comprehensive assessments for youth ages 10–17 who have faced challenges such as trauma, neglect, or involvement with the juvenile justice system. Our mission : to help each youth discover their strengths and build a plan for success.

About the Role :

We’re looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead daily program operations and inspire a dedicated team of professionals who make life-changing work possible. In this role, you’ll manage staff, oversee budgets, ensure compliance, and collaborate with clinical teams—all while creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth in crisis.

What You’ll Do :

Lead and mentor direct care staff to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Oversee daily operations, safety, and program compliance.

Manage budgets, staffing, and administrative functions efficiently.

Partner with licensed clinicians to deliver comprehensive assessments and individualized plans.

Foster positive relationships with youth, families, volunteers, and community partners.

Promote staff growth through coaching and professional development.

What We’re Looking For :

Bachelor’s degree required (Human Services or related field preferred)

Supervisory experience in residential, juvenile justice, or human services settings.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

A commitment to helping youth overcome barriers and thrive.
