Certifications : Certification as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)

Must-Have : Ability to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Department of Public Safety. Current CPR card obtained through physical assessment.

Description :

We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse, either an RN or LPN, to manage and care for patients with wounds.

The schedule is flexible, with options available for start times.

Duties include performing wound assessments, reassessments, and management for all patients per established policies and procedures.

You will develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown of residents.

Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to wound management and care.

Revise plans of care based on residents' responses to treatment and evaluate the overall effectiveness.

Assess and reassess pain and utilize appropriate pain management techniques while educating residents and families.

Serve as a resource to other nursing and facility staff by providing in-services on wound care and prevention.

Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians.

Consult with other healthcare professionals as necessary to address residents' needs.

Ensure documentation meets current standards and practices.

Attend training and continuing education classes related to wound care and stay current with new advances in the field.
