Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification to work night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a CT department within a Level I trauma, teaching, short-term acute care hospital
  • Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations, including adult ICU cases and complex trauma
  • All Siemens CT scanners are used across the department
  • 4x10 hour night shifts from 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM, rotating day off each week
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call required
  • Floating within service line may be required to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities
  • Patient caseload varies; details to be provided upon assignment
  • PACS system is utilized for image management
  • EPIC is the EMR for documentation, experience strongly preferred
  • Role includes performing and assisting with complex CT imaging procedures in a Level I trauma environment
  • Duties include IV starts, image reconstruction, and contrast administration as required
  • Every other weekend work is mandatory
  • Candidates may be required to float within the same hospital
  • Scrub color options are black, red, or white
  • Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing; travelers may be required to shave
  • Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Travelers may remain at the facility for up to 12 months and must take a 6 month break before returning for another assignment
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • ARRT (CT) certification required at the time of consideration
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience is required
  • Experience with Siemens CT scanners preferred
  • Experience in Level I trauma or large hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of CT procedures, including abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
  • PACS and contrast administration experience required
  • IV starts, portable imaging, and biopsy skills preferred
  • EPIC charting experience is preferred and may be required
  • Must hold a valid state license at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from facility (no local candidates)
  • First-time travelers are accepted
