Supplier Performance Engineer

Job Description

The Supplier Performance Engineer (SPE) has a strategic role responsible for contributing to improvements around supplier performance management which result in best-in-class service levels. The SPE is responsible for assessing supplier capabilities to ensure the supplier can reach the level of performance, capability and capacity required to meet our business needs. The SPE will work closely with Category Managers, Buyers, and Supplier Quality Engineers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Ensure supplier performance meets / exceeds expectations through the entire life cycle of the relationship. Responsible for :

Supplier Delivery Performance to Request / Promised Dates - RDSL / PDSL

Drive supplier improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management, or accepted quality improvement tools (FMEA, MSA / Gage R&R, Control Plans, Capability Analysis, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Process Mapping, etc.)

Take appropriate, timely and effective actions to resolve issues impacting quality, delivery, or cost

Review with suppliers and internal design / manufacturing groups to make changes in design, manufacturing processes and / or material specifications to improve quality, cost, productivity, and product manufacturability
