We are seeking a dedicated Field Computer Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential hardware repairs and installations on both laptop and desktop systems. Your previous experience with laptop and desktop hardware will be crucial to your success in this position.
Job Details :
- This is a 1099 / per call position
- Compensation is based on the number of service calls completed.
- Rates start at $35 and increase based on travel distance.
- Pay is disbursed every Friday following your first week of work.
- Services are conducted Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Availability for a minimum of three weekdays is required.
- Service call volume is variable, typically ranging from 1-4 calls per day.
- You will complete manufacturer certifications from Dell and Lenovo during your onboarding. These certifications are online and at no cost to you.
- A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license are essential, as you will be traveling to multiple job sites each day.
- Access to a computer and the Internet is a must for daily logins to your technician portal.
- Each morning, you should log into the portal by 9 AM to confirm service calls and plan your route.
- Tickets are issued after troubleshooting is completed and parts are shipped by the manufacturer.
- You will need to confirm service times with customers through your portal. Service will be conducted at customer locations, both residential and commercial.
- Daily pickup of parts from your assigned FedEx or UPS location is required before attending onsite appointments. After completing your calls, you will return old parts using the provided pre-paid label.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience in replacing components on laptops and desktops is a must.A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.Comfort with daily local travel is essential.Additional Information
