POSITION TITLE : Quality Engineer

REPORTS TO : DEPARTMENT :

Position Summary :

The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and process controls to ensure that manufactured products meet customer and regulatory requirements. This role oversees inspection activities, manages nonconformities, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer works cross-functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive performance, improve product quality, and support compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems to support customer requirements and compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Lead and manage all incoming, first piece, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Review products for conformity to blueprints, process sheets, and technical specifications; ensure highest achievable quality.
• Write and manage Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs); oversee disposition process and corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades to inspection and production equipment; maintain calibration logs.
• Perform root cause analysis and lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools, including but not limited to micrometers, toolmaker’s microscopes, calipers, comparators, and thread gages.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support actions related to audit findings.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Support training efforts related to quality standards, processes, and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
