Facility Services Staff

Facility Services Staff are responsible for cleaning the interiors and public areas of all buildings at in and around Biltmore Estate. Duties may also include : light maintenance for facilities (e.g. changing light bulbs, etc.); snow removal; emergency response and assistance; and general departmental support. Staff will also coordinate to provide assistance for special events and functions and will provide general support and assistance to the department, leadership, and company.

Essential Job Duties

• Dust, mop, wet mop, and buff all wood / tile / linoleum / concrete / marble floors.
• Vacuum / shampoo carpets and steps
• Change light bulbs inside and outside
• Clean restrooms with high degree of cleanliness and detail to Biltmore standards
• Assist with special events, functions, and projects (e.g. Christmas candlelight)
• Respond to power / water outages for report, or as an assistant to management
• Snow removal
• Some storm cleanup
• Emergency clean up (bodily fluids)
• Dust offices and gift shops
• Constant awareness of safety of self, guests, and co-workers
• This position is responsible for performing the above duties during 2nd shift. The ability to work these hours as designated by leadership is an essential function of this position
