Premier Charter School is expanding our early childhood program and hiring dynamic teachers for PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade for the 2026-27 school year.
We seek educators who create safe, joyful, and academically engaging classrooms where strong relationships and social-emotional learning support student growth. Our teachers use intentional practices such as class meetings, inquiry-based learning, and Project-Based Learning to foster curiosity, collaboration, and independence.
PCS is a public charter school serving PreK–8th grade students in St. Louis City. We develop curious, empowered learners through whole-child education and research-based practices.

Requirements:
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available at this time.)
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred in education but if working on a post-degree teaching certification, this is also great).
- State teaching certification (or in the process of obtaining a certification)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and development
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and techniques to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess student learning and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
