Food Technologist- Product & Process Development

• Develop new product ideas
• Re-energize a well-established product
• Assess product-concept fit or packaging effectiveness
• Understand the product, brand and category competitive landscapes
• Present objective results to management

The Food Technologist focuses on prototype formulation, understanding ingredient functionality, and working with suppliers to source ingredients for new products. The Food Technologist also supports pilot plant production runs, shelf life studies, and learns the basic requirements to produce GMP products for testing.

Educational Background / Relevant Experience :

A salaried compensational range for this role would be : $57,000-62,000

Other Factors :

Maintain a safe and orderly work environment, maintain, record, and review SOPs, maintain proper communication skills, work independently, exercise initiative and good judgment, and solve routine problems without assistance. Safely operate propane and electrical forklift trucks, climb ladders, frequently lift, carry and / or push light to heavy materials. as well as stand and walk most of the day. Flexibility to easily transition from one task to another.
