RN Day Surgery The Baylor Heart Hospital Plano RN Day Surgery Patient Population: Heart, Lung, and Vascular Number of Beds: 28 Department Specifics: Unit is open from 5:00AM -9:30PM, Monday through Friday. Shift: Full-time days, 5 8-hour days- 5:00 AM -1:30 PM Experience Required: Must have three (3) years of experience as RN. With previous experience in Cardiovascular PCU and Cardiac Acute Care/ICU. Job Summary As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system. This will prevent complications and delays. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills. What You'll Do As a Procedural Registered Nurse, your main focus is to use careful clinical judgement. You'll assess patients and prioritize their needs. You'll also create and adjust care plans for better results. You will assess your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness. Qualifications Accredited program or (2) two years minimum, required for this position. A major focus or specialization in Nursing. Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than a (1) one year would suffice. Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
