Controls Specialist

Agilus is recruiting for a Controls Specialist in the Manufacturing industry in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Our client is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry. The Controls Specialist is responsible for continuously improving automated systems to increase equipment efficiency in high-throughput operations. The ideal candidate will have prior controls experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

A typical day :

• Support Maintenance Management by communicating effectively and providing guidance to both the Electrical and Automation Teams
• Execute industrial mechanical knowledge of process automation, PLC programming, HMI improvements and robotic operations
• Ensure functional design specifications are understood and successfully delivered on time and within budget
• Involvement in new project engineering and controls programming
• Utilize lean-manufacturing principles by improving process capability, reducing overall costs, and increasing capacity
