This position would ideally be based in our Meridian, Idaho office, which offers a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so. We'd be open to a fully remote candidate, but they must be located within the BNP territory (states : OR, WA, ID, UT, or MT).

Responsibilities

As a Senior Commercial Underwriter , you will directly impact the company's growth and profitability goals within an assigned territory and book of business. You will underwrite commercial property and casualty accounts by determining risk acceptability and pricing in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and within established authority level.

• Manage a book of business with autonomy to make decisions within authority level, consistently achieving company strategies and goals.
• Assess new Agribusiness insurance risks and determine accurate classification of business, policy contract forms, and pricing of risk.
• Review renewal accounts for acceptability by examining business operations, classification, contract forms, and loss activity.
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and information to meet quality review standards.
• Develop, expand, and enhance agency relationships to promote profitability and growth of new business and the retention of existing business.
