A company is looking for a Lead Coding Specialist for their Medical Coding Department.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reviews to validate I-10-CM diagnosis codes and PCS procedure codes
Manage daily DNFB and DNFC reports and oversee coding corrections and compliance
Provide mentoring support to coders and collaborate on education and training initiatives
Required Qualifications and Education
Minimum of five (5) years of coding experience in an acute hospital setting
Three (3) years of experience leading a coding team
Graduate of a medical coding program or an associate degree in a healthcare-related field
One of the following credentials : CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
Proficiency in coding software and knowledge of ICD10-CM / PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding regulations
