Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager with a CA license and travel experience for an acute care setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an acute care facility working in case management
  • Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 8 : 00 to 16 : 30
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 25 for care management
  • Required to float to additional facilities within the state, including Laguna Facility
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Epic EMR is used and experience is required
  • Responsible for care coordination and management of a large case load
  • Expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
  • Former permanent staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
  • Requested time off must be addressed during submission; no more than 7 days off allowed
  • Scrub color is turquoise or business casual attire as specified
  • All candidates must meet required vaccination and identification documentation, including COVID-19 and flu vaccinations

  • Active CA RN license or valid temporary license by start date
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute medical care manager experience with care coordination duties
  • Previous travel nursing experience is required—first-time travelers are not considered
  • Experience working with the Epic EMR system
  • Ability to provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent employment in a comparable specialty
