We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine toolsStrong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering specifications and work ordersExcellent attention to detail and precision in machining tasksKnowledge of safety standards and best practices in machine operationGood problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issuesHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferredRequirements :
