ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer to support Power Uprate initiatives within our Nuclear Services Group. This is a high-visibility role where your work will directly contribute to increasing reactor output and optimizing performance at nuclear facilities across the country.

As a Project Engineer, youll be at the forefront of planning and executing complex engineering tasks that drive energy efficiency and reliability. Youll collaborate with industry-leading technical experts, seasoned project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver solutions that are safe, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant.

  • Palm Beach Gardens, FL
  • Kennesaw, GA
  • Naperville, IL
  • Overland Park, KS
  • Baton Rouge, LA
  • King of Prussia, PA
  • Chattanooga, TN
  • Fort Worth, TX
  • Remote will be considered for candidates with 10+ years in nuclear design

Responsibilities :

  • Lead strategic discussions, align your team to ensure quality and deadlines are met, while keeping clients informed and engaged.
  • Dive into problem-solving, manage budgets, refine proposals, and identify new opportunities all while motivating your team to turn every challenge into a win.
  • Strategic Impact : Power uprates are rapidly becoming a cornerstone of U.S. energy policy, driven by recently passed legislation aimed at accelerating clean energy deployment.
  • Career Springboard : With the U.S. targeting a fourfold increase in nuclear capacity, power uprates are anticipated to only contribute approximately 8 GW.
  • Mentorship & Growth : Work alongside senior subject matter experts (SMEs) who will provide hands-on mentorship and help you develop into a future power uprate specialist.
  • Leadership Pathways : This role is designed to groom engineers for leadershipwhether you choose to specialize technically, lead teams, or guide future uprate studies and modifications.

  • Leadership & Coordination : Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met.

  • Strategic Growth & Innovation : Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals.
  • Qualifications :

  • Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related) OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experience
  • PE license strongly preferred
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites
  • Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time
