Job Summary :
Wheeler Staffing Partners is recruiting for a Manager of Leave Administration on behalf of a successful healthcare organization. This role provides strategic oversight and operational management of the organization's leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies. The Manager leads a team to deliver accurate and timely leave processing, partnering with Payroll, HR Data Management, Benefits, Legal, and departmental leaders to identify risks, enhance controls, and implement process improvements. This position combines compliance expertise with analytical insights to drive a highly efficient, employee-centered leave program.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all leave administration programs including FMLA, state parental leave, military leave, and personal / emergency leave.
- Lead and manage the Leave Administration team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Partner with HR Data Management, Payroll, Benefits, and Legal to resolve escalated and complex leave cases.
- Approve or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information while ensuring HIPAA and employee privacy compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent and compliant processes.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
- Establish and monitor audit controls to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct analytical reviews of leave data to identify trends, forecast operational needs, and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare reports and present insights on leave activity, trends, and compliance risks to leadership.
- Assist in the creation and facilitation of leave administration training programs.
- Manage the processing of all approved state leaves and coordinate reviews with leadership and HR business partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.Minimum of 3 years progressive supervisory and leadership experience in HR, leave administration, benefits management, or related areas.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with PeopleSoft, UKG Dimensions, or Kronos.Leave certifications such as DMEC or other leave-related certifications.Skills & Competencies :
