Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is growing, and we’re excited to welcome additional Registered Veterinary Technicians to our expanding team. As our hospital continues to develop and our doctor team has doubled in size, we have new opportunities for RVTs at multiple levels, including an RVT Supervisor, a Dentistry RVT, and skilled technicians to support appointments, procedures, and Urgent Care.

Our modern general practice and urgent care center provides comprehensive veterinary services, from wellness care and diagnostics to surgery, dentistry, and orthopedics. We take pride in our positive, collaborative culture and our commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to every patient and client.

Depending on your background and interests, your role may include anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgical and dental procedures, client communication, urgent care triage, or leadership and mentorship of the technical team. Our Dentistry RVTs perform full dental cleanings, charting, radiographs, extractions, and gingival suturing- practicing at the top of their license and expertise. Our RVT Supervisor provides mentorship, oversees scheduling and workflow, ensures adherence to safety and medical standards, and supports hospital operations. Across all positions, you’ll be part of a supportive environment where teamwork, skill development, and professional growth are valued.

This is a flexible full-time opportunity with the option of a 4 / 10 or 5 / 8 schedule. Saturday or Sunday availability is appreciated!

Full-time benefits and compensation

  • Compensation : $35–45 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Shift differential : Additional $2 / hr on weekends and weekdays after 7pm
  • Bonus package : $2000
  • CE allowance : up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Desired qualifications and skill set :

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California
  • Proficiency in the following skills :
  • Venipuncture, placing IV catheters, and administering injections

  • Anesthetic induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance
  • Dental prophy, charting, extractions, and suturing gingiva
  • Leadership and managing hospital flow

We’re equipped to perform soft-tissue surgery, general wellness, urgent care, dentistry, orthopedics, and more out of our state-of-the-art surgical suite. Our 5 doctors are well-equipped with digital radiology, in-house diagnostics, all computerized records (Evet / Pulse), and most of all, a talented and committed support staff team.
