A confidential healthcare practice is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinical operations. Key Responsibilities
- Measure and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other intake data.
- Prepare patients for exams, perform routine screenings, and assist providers during procedures.
- Collect lab specimens, perform basic waived tests, and document results accurately.
- Administer medications, change dressings, and provide first-aid procedures under provider supervision.
- Maintain supplies, sterilize instruments, and follow OSHA and infection-control standards.
- Manage front office tasks including check-in / check-out, phone calls, prescription refills, and patient communication.
- Educate and coach patients on lifestyle and wellness practices, following up as needed.
- Document all clinical and administrative activities in compliance with HIPAA and facility standards.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.Experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or in a similar clinical role (clinical rotations may substitute).MediClear certification (or equivalent active healthcare compliance credential) is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, and clinical workflows.Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively.Compensation & Benefits
