Job Description

South Shore Hospital is a vibrant 374 bed community hospital and level 2 Trauma center providing world-class quality care through both our South Shore Health physician groups and through agreements with Boston's teaching hospitals including surgeons from Brigham and Women's Hospital, pediatricians from Boston Children's Hospital, and Oncologic services through Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Our Department of Anesthesia is a diverse and collegial group of physicians who perform a case mix by both MD solo and CRNA supervision. Case mix includes vascular, ortho, general, gyn, thoracic, neuro, healthy peds, and obstetric.

We are looking for well trained, with current ACLS certification, e nthusiastic, collegial, team-players to join our growing, dynamic hospital-based practice. We provide an excellent compensation package including a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package, as well as 7 weeks’ vacation, and additionally 1 week for CME.

Essential Functions :

• monitor patient before, during and after anesthesia
• manage complications of anesthesia postoperatively
• manage post op pain
• manage labor analgesia
• consult and collaborate with other services for care of patients
• respond to codes and aid in resuscitation
• respond and care for trauma patients
• deliver anesthesia care to outside of an operating room service
