Description
:The Wastewater Technician III is a skilled wastewater operator with 3-4 years’ experience batch treating industrial wastewater. The Wastewater Technician III will be experienced and capable to conduct industrial wastewater treatment on all water streams utilizing the various technologies and chemicals available to them independently. The Wastewater Technician III will also be adept in petroleum recovery operations. The Wastewater Technician III will be proficient in and train new hires in waste stream sampling, tanker transfers, waste stream QA/QC, bench testing, waste stream treat code assignments, batch wastewater treatment, and petroleum recovery operations. The Wastewater Technician III will be mechanically inclined with liquids management and troubleshooting issue with transfer operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, PCB, Halogen, and ammonia.
Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, yard dog, high vac trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Wastewater treatment and petroleum recovery.
Performing waste stream QA/QC & lab analysis.
Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.
Train and guide Wastewater Technicians, I & II.
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED required
3-4 years of experience
Boiler license preferred
Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift over 50 pounds
Ability to pass respirator fit test
40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
First aid/CPR/AED certification
Confined space entry certification
Experience in NetSuite preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
