Formerly Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, SRBHH was opened in 2016 and is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Conveniently located in the North Bay, this hospital consists of 144 acute psychiatric inpatient beds.

Conveniently located in the North Bay, SRBHH serves adolescents and adults. We treat both mental health and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.
POSITION TITLE : Dietary Aide
REPORTS TO : Dietary Manager
STARTING PAY : $23.50 PER HOUR
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The purpose of the Dietary Aide position is to help in assembling meals to patients, staff and visitors in a courteous manner with consideration to dietary needs and restrictions. Routine duties include washing and sanitizing dishes and food service areas, assembling food and stocking and labeling food and kitchen supplies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assemble and prepare food and snacks as directed
 - Organize and deliver prepared food to patient areas
 - Properly process, store, and prepare food on a tight timeline
 - Maintain high level of kitchen sanitation related to food preparation, dish room activities and employee’s personal hygiene
 - Consistent documentation of food labeling, dating and kitchen procedures
 - Serve behavioral health patients and staff with a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times
 - Participates in activities which enhance professional growth and development
 - Performs related duties, as requested
 - Upholds the Organization’s ethics and customer service standards

High School degree or equivalent requiredPrefer food service experience in a treatment center, health care or treatment center settingMust be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot trafficExperience in consistently meeting deadlines; and finish all food preparation at specified serving time; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needsMust be able to use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers and dishwashersKnowledge of the hygiene factors involved in food preparationMust be able to work independently, in a result restricted physical environment for extended periods of timeSkills and Abilities :
Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times.
