Overview
Production Shift Supervisor 2ND Shift at Oldcastle Infrastructure.
This Exempt role oversees production operations in the plant, with direct or indirect supervision of hourly production employees. The position operates on the night shift, 3PM to 11PM, and reports to the plant supervisor for guidance on unusual problems or circumstances.

Job Responsibilities
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Follow plans and schedules of mill and kiln operations in coordination with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and production personnel.
- Establish, assign, and communicate job responsibilities and schedules for shift personnel involved in the production process.
- Supervise and evaluate job performance; monitor and maintain attendance records.
- Participate in and ensure regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Conduct safety inspections and order safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor kiln burning operations and raw mill and finish mill grinding operations.
- Review production data and prepare reports.
- Assist employees with production problems and ensure satisfactory production operations.
- Assist in resolving union problems and grievances.
- Supervise record keeping and monitoring of BIF operating parameters from the plant control room.
- Serve as Alternate Emergency Coordinator for the Emergency Response Team.
- Attend RCRA training for waste-derived fuel activities.
- Order tools and supplies needed for use in the manufacturing process.
- Request and supervise repairs and preventive maintenance on mills, kilns, and other machinery used in production operations.
- Provide regular information to management regarding current operations and manpower status.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.Minimum of a Vocational or Technical Degree in production, process control, or similar preferred.Minimum of 3 years' experience in production with emphasis on process control in a similar industry preferred.Experience in manufacturing / distribution environment is preferred.Professional and personable; strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office experience a plus.Willingness to roll up sleeves to learn and coach.Detail-oriented, decisive leader with problem-solving abilities.Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly and work under general supervision on assigned objectives.Ability to refer to supervisor for guidance on unusual problems or circumstances.Salary
