Department : Long Term Care Location : Edna Tina Wilson Living Center Hours Per Week : 40 Schedule : Monday-Friday Days, on-call every 6 weeks SUMMARY : As a Manager, Nursing, your ability to multitask and oversee multiple areas of the unit allows for the successful flow of information and consistent management of needs to achieve quality care.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Daily Management. Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community

Leadership. Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies

Patient Care. Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum 3 years acute / continuing care clinical experience preferred.

EDUCATION :

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE :

$84,000.00 - $115,000.00
