Platform Software Engineer

To support a leading technology company in network simulation and virtualization, the Platform & Infrastructure Software Engineer will develop and maintain core platform services, manage virtualization environments, and implement automation frameworks in a long-term remote contract role. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain core simulation platform services, node drivers, and runtime components Manage virtualization environments including Libvirt/KVM, Docker, Proxmox, Nutanix, and VMware Design, develop, and support REST APIs, SDKs, and automation integrations Required qualifications 5+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure development experience Strong programming experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, Libvirt, Docker, and VMware Experience developing RESTful APIs, SDKs, and automation solutions Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
