Warehouse Associate
Louisville, KY
This position is responsible for order pulling, inventory packaging, shipping and receiving. Responsibilities:
- Pulling parts inventory for orders.
- Packaging parts inventory to be shipped to the customer.
- Unloading merchandise being received from loading docks to stock and place into warehouse inventory.
- Move materials through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, reach truck, order picker).
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Complete routine paperwork to properly document work performed.
- Use computers and scan guns to dispense and receive basic information that includes product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, etc.
- Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts.
- Parts and pick ticket quality inspections.
- Other duties as assigned; job duties subject to change without notice.
- Follow all safety policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will be considered.
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in the English language.
- Proven record of good attendance, safety record and productivity.
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to move parts and material up to 50lbs. in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend and lift throughout the day, manually unloading and loading merchandise.
- Ability to work at heights (up to 22 ft high on cherry picker)
- Ability to bend and stoop repetitively.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to go up and down mobile stairs on a consistent basis all day
