CSI Sands (N.E.)operates state of the art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI, Buffalo, NY and Cleveland, OH.

We are currently searching for an Accounting Assistant to complement our team in Buffalo, NY.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Assistant will be expected to :

• Perform billing-related clerical duties, such as data collection, data entry, data verification and reconciliation, maintaining filing and record systems, emailing and photocopying.
• Perform billing duties involved with the uploading of billing activities for completed work.
• Perform billing duties as it relates to other third party or intercompany activities.
• Serve as a primary internal billing contact for Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Perform necessary job cost inquiries to validate billed and unbilled activities.
• Perform basic billing, collection and follow-up activities.
• Post and reconcile customer payments within the enterprise accounting systems.
• Review and apply all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied transactions.
• Credit Card reconciliation
• Provide support with purchase orders and requisitions.
• Investigate invalid invoices by coordinating with requestors / approvers / vendors or Accounts Payable for resolutions.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to verify purchase orders and invoices have proper coding / payment terms / unit numbers.
