Job Description:
Description•Support the management of development spend and deliver insightful financial analytics • Aid in the preparation of consolidated management reporting including monthly forecasts, long-range planning, quarterly actuals, and balance sheet reviews • Track overall term deal expense, calculate recoupment on production orders, monitor pipeline of in-negotiation deals, and oversee project movements on the development slate • Execute payroll for term deal and writer agreements by coordinating between internal groups and an external third-party payroll provider, reviewing check requests, and approving payment calculations • Work closely with Development Finance Lead to document and streamline processes, develop meaningful tools, and maintain data integrity within systems • Prepare journal entries by compiling, analyzing, and substantiating financial transactions • Prepare and submit coding setup requests for new projects in the development slate • Aid in the testing and development of new IT projects and system enhancements • Develop a strong understanding of the general ledger, allowing you to perform periodic internal audits, ensure proper controls are in place, and resolve any accounting discrepancies that may arise • Establish reporting and analytical tools for executive teams as new business needs arise • Track delivery materials for all licensed and Apple-owned programming and coordinate with Business Affairs and Creative teams to ensure internal consistency prior to payment outlay • Prepare development cost reports as needed for Business Affairs, Contract Admin, Creative, and Production Finance teams • Prepare backup and variance analysis for quarterly tie out of off-balance sheet commitments for SOX audit compliance
Requirement:
Key Qualifications • 2-6 years of finance or accounting experience required • Entertainment experience preferred • Experience with SAP, Tableau, and proficiency in Excel formulas (Vlookups, Sumifs, pivot tables, etc.) preferred • Independently organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks with set deadlines • Exceptionally detail oriented with strong analytical skills • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity • Overall ability to understand and retain new information quickly and a drive toward continuous improvement • Ability to effectively multi-task and work comfortably with high levels of ambiguity and complexity Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred Candidates with 3+ Years of experience 1 Entertainment experience is extremely helpful- a large aspect of this role is entertainment/production payroll This is not a payroll position, they are looking for a Financial Analyst 2 Experience with SAP GL SW 3 Compiling JE- Quarterly preparing 4 Advanced Excel
