About the Job :
We are looking for organized, approachable lead AND assistant teachers to join our team. (Full Time and Part Time positions available).
The responsibilities include assisting in creating and implementing a curriculum to meet the basic and educational needs of the children in our care, as well as, subject-specific concepts and providing them with opportunities for social-emotional learning and development of life skills.
In this position, you will also be required to work well with staff, track and report on student's progress, and ensure that classes remain safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
To ensure success as a teacher, you should be compassionate and able to work well under pressure. Top-notch teachers should also remain up-to-date with advances in early childhood development training.
Responsibilities :
- Designing and implementing a curriculum that caters to the basic and educational needs of the children.
- Adhering to appropriate legal and educational guidelines to maintain children's well-being.
- Conducting child assessments to gauge students' progress.
- Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
- Establishing relationships and meeting with families to discuss the goals and needs of students in our program.
Requirements :
Able to meet 15 hours of annual NYS required training.Preferred Credentials :
CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood or related education degree or are in the process of obtaining a such degree. (Helpful but not mandatory).Experience in childcare or daycare, if none, we will be happy to train you and pair you with a knowledgeable staff member during an orientation period if applicable.Experience planning and developing curriculum.Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.A keen interest in early childhood education.What We Offer :
