  • Pay Rate : $31 - 32 / hr
  • Job Summary

    As a Patient Care Technician , you will support dialysis care by providing hands-on patient assistance under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will contribute to treatment accuracy and patient safety by closely monitoring vital signs and documenting treatment parameters throughout the dialysis process.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as assigned and under RN supervision.
  • Accurately document patient information related to dialysis treatment.
  • Assist licensed nurses with pre- and post-dialysis assessments and their documentation.
  • Monitor and record treatment parameters using Dialysis Flow Sheets .
  • Communicate any changes in patient condition to supervising staff.
  • Support emergency procedures and initiate basic CPR measures when needed.
  • Respond to emergencies during dialysis treatments.
  • Required Experience

  • None required - on-the-job training provided
  • Must complete CPR Certification
  • Must complete an approved training program in hemodialysis care
  • Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience in hospital or clinical patient care environments
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols
  • Exposure to dialysis or kidney care facilities
  • Required Skills

  • CPR Certification
  • Ability to accurately document medical data
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
  • Preferred Skills

  • Background in physical sciences or lab techniques
  • Experience assisting with dialysis procedures
  • Basic knowledge of patient monitoring equipment
  • Additional Skills

  • Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and emergency responses
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare setting with exposure to infectious materials
  • Team-oriented with high attention to patient safety
