Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg / Rehab (Nights) Weirton

This need is for an RN for Surgical / Inpatient rehab floor.

FACILTY WILL MAKE CONTACT WITHIN 48 HRS FOR ANY QUALIFIED CANDIDATE THEY ARE INTERSTED IN THAT HAS BEEN PRESENTED FOR CONSIDERATION !

MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE A FAST PACE WORK ENVIRONMENT AND FULL PATIENT LOAD. PLEASE NOTE PATIENT RATIOS IN EXEPERIENCE ON PROFILE.

LOCAL TRAVELERS (within 50 miles of facility) WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. This is non-negotiable. Thank you!

ANY REQUESTED TIME OFF FOR THE DURATION OF THIS ASSIGNEMNT MUST BE NOTED AND VERIFIED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION, ANY RTO WILL NOT BE APPROVED AFTER TIME OF SUBMISSION AND SHOULD NOT BE REQUESTED BY AGENCY OR TRAVELER AT ANY POINT AFTER SUBMISSION , INCLUDING DURING INTERVIEW PER FACILITY! A THREE STRIKE RULE FOR ANY CALL OFFS WILL BE IMPLEMENTED AS FOLLOWS : After 3 call offs, a traveler's contract will be eligible for termination due to lack of attendance at Weirton Medical Center's discretion.

3 Years CURRENT MS experience - Required

Rehab experience - plus but not required

5 Years of Nursing Experience - Required

BSN - Preferred

Sorian EMR experience - Preferred

Two Years of Previous travel experience - Required

Weirton Medical Center is a 238-bed acute care facility located on Colliers Way in Weirton, West Virginia, near the US Route 22 corridor adjacent to the Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania border.

In what is often described as a tough medical climate, nation-wide, WMC has bucked the trend of struggling healthcare organizations by not only drastically increasing employment, but also by growing its revenue by 64%.

Since mid-2012, WMC has proven itself a true tri-state medical network by growing its reach from the 238-bed acute care facility on Colliers way in Weirton and one off-campus location to now operating 38 sites in 3 states.

WMC History

1953

Weirton Medical Center (then Weirton General Hospital) was founded in 1953 by a group of community leaders in the City of Weirton. The Hospital was initially located in the Weircrest addition of Weirton, north of the city.

1978

A new facility, renamed Weirton Medical Center, was built on a 20-acre campus located near the US Route 22 corridor adjacent to the West Virginia / Pennsylvania border. The late Michael Starvaggi, President of Starvaggi Industries, donated the land for the current facility.

1987

The Hospital converted 23 inpatient beds to create a 23-bed skilled care unit. This unit was expanded to 33 beds in 1996. In 1992, the Hospital created a 20-bed psychiatric unit.

1995

The Hospital undertook a

• million outpatient renovation, which modified the existing main floor of the facility into a centralized outpatient center. In 2002, Weirton Medical Center completed construction of a
• million four-story medical office complex annexing the main hospital.
