Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Perinatology Sonographer to join our team for a 13-week part-time contract . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-risk obstetric and fetal medicine imaging, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Schedule & Hours

  • Shift : Days
  • Schedule : Every Saturday and Wednesday or Friday (one 4-hour shift)
  • Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM
  • No On-Call Requirement

    • Work Environment

  • Candidate will float between outpatient facilities in San Marcos, Otay Mesa, and Clairemont .
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 1
  • Scrub Colors : Neutral, Royal Blue, or Navy Blue
  • EMR : Epic
  • PPE : Fully provided (fit testing available on-site)
  • Parking : On-site

    • Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams focusing on perinatology and obstetric imaging .
  • Conduct Nuchal Translucency and other specialized nuchal tests for pregnancies under 12 weeks.
  • Ensure accurate image acquisition, documentation, and communication with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain equipment and follow infection control and safety protocols.

    • Requirements

  • Certifications :

    • FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation) Certification

  • Abdomen and OB / GYN Certification
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Experience :

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Perinatology / OB-GYN ultrasound

  • Travel experience preferred but not required
  • Local travelers accepted
  • RTO :

    • Limited to 4 days maximum (no RTO preferred; candidates without RTO will be prioritized)

  • Credentialing :

    • Process takes approximately 2 weeks (10 business days)

  • Facility Size : 206 beds
  • Orientation : Provided upon start
  • COVID Vaccine : Not required
  • Timesheets : Submitted via Kronos (clock in / out via badge; emailed Mondays)
  • Pay Cycle : Sunday – Saturday
