The Project Manager primary responsibilities are in managing and creating video projects for Advancement at Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center and its various entities. Takes lead and assists in video projects from concept to implementation as producer, director, writer, editor, cinematographer, and sound recorder. Analyze and report project progress and evaluation, including ROI and/or ROE and performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a communications / film / broadcast / digital media / public relations related area. A masters Degree is preferred. Minimum three to five years of video production services and/or documentary filmmaking experience required. Experience in writing and video editing is essential. Must have a show reel featuring work in a lead production role. Valid drivers license required at time of hire.
Fluent in written and spoken English; must be able to operate video camera and audio gear; able to write stories through video and edit video footage using Final Cut Pro. Able to use computers and other equipment such as copiers, fax machines, printers, cameras, and telephones pertinent to the position. Effective in working with various levels of authority and the general public; teamwork; cultural awareness; integrity and responsibility; patience and flexibility; customer-service and problem-solving orientation. Skill in managing projects / assignments; read, write, and speak English (including spelling and grammar) at a level necessary for job performance (bilingual desired, but not mandatory); basic arithmetic; initiative; ability to work under general supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment; ability to fulfill job description requirements/assignments as listed above in a timely and effective manner. Able to distinguish colors and smells as necessary for performing duties; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.
